Los Angeles, 4/20 Room 5 Lounge
After saying our goodbyes on Tuesday afternoon, we headed down to Los Angeles to play Room 5 Lounge in Hollywood. This venue is pretty slick and has a great reputation as a beautiful listening room where audience members can hear every word, note, etc. It took us a while to get there, though, as The Eagles were playing The Hollywood Bowl and were backing up traffic on the off ramp we needed to take to get to Room 5 Lounge.
In any case, we made it to the gig with ample time to tune, set up, and relax for a few minutes. When we hit the stage, we were greeted by a bunch of friends and fans from the area and had a fun time playing some of my best tunes for them. At the end of our performance, I handed out some ChiMcClean.com logo pint glasses to the loyal folks that bagged on The Eagles and came to see us play. A few folks immediately got some use out of them, which was fun to see!
After the show, we caught up with local actor/musician Lenny Hirsh for some late night Mexican food, which was awesome! (Thanks for playing tour guide, Lenny!) Later, we found a cool little motel off of Hollywood Boulevard and crashed out for the night in anticipation of meeting with a few folks and doing some touristy stuff the next morning including checking out some of the stars on the sidewalk. Of course, I had to take a photo of this one:

The Eagles are just a classic band….how many bands are still as popular more than 30 years after they first formed? Not too many that’s for sure!
