Two nights in Buckeye, AZ was a blast, but it was time to move on, so move on I did as I drove north into the mountains of Arizona to the college and ski town of Flagstaff. It was an absolutely killer drive through all sorts of ever changing vegetation, flora and fauna as the warm glow of the southwestern sunset colored everything with a really cozy vibe.
When I finally arrived in Flagstaff, I set up at this cool wine bar on the north side of town called Vino Loco. An amazing assortment of wines, a super knowledgeable somelier behind the bar, and terrific acoustics made this a fun evening of solo acoustic music with an audience from just about everywhere and every profession. We had a blast in a really casual setting and enjoyed trading jokes and stories along the way, as well as after my set while I broke down my gear.
Big thanks to the staff at Vino Loco for putting together a wonderful evening, as well my new friends and fans in the audience who made it such a memorable night and providing a comfy couch to sleep on afterwards. You all rock!
After about 6,500 miles or so, it was time to give the truck a good cleaning, so the first thing I did the next morning was find a good car wash so I could pamper my ride a bit. It was awesome! Deep clean on the outside, a wax, tire shine, and a steam clean on the inside. Awww, yeah! This baby was ready to roll and hit the open road with a new found fire. Nothing could stop us en route to Durango, CO…
