Gigging & Playing This Week In Colorado

After one last gig in the Sierra Nevada of California at my favorite little spot in Squaw Valley USA on August 20th, I worked my way farther east the next morning to Salt Lake City, Utah to perform at DPS for their annual summer shindig on August 21st, which was a blast. But, with another hard day of driving ahead of me to perform in Vail, Colorado the next day, there was no time to delay, so I hit the road early on August 22nd and put the pedal to the mettle to “Colorful Colorado”.

It’s easy to get distracted from the task at hand when you’re presented with views like this along the way, but that’s that why I purposefully planned a few extra days (days off?!) during my stint here in Colorado. In between performances at Tavern on the Square at The Arrabelle in Vail, CO and Bonfire Brewing Co. in Eagle, CO, I’ve spent some time on the water fishing for rainbow and brown trout, mountain biking up, down and around Vail Mountain, and have had a few good hangs with some old friends and family along the way. It’s been an absolute joy to have a few, slower-paced days to re-charge and enjoy the outdoors a bit after hitting it hard on the road for a while.

So, what’s left on my performance calendar in Colorado this week, you ask? I’ll be performing at, Shakedown Bar (my favorite spot in Vail, CO) this Thursday evening, August 29th from 8:00pm until 10:00pm opening for Recovery Act, then up in Leadville, CO on Friday evening, August 30th from 9:30pm until about 1:00am (it’s gonna be a long one) at The Scarlet. Then, on Saturday night, August 31st, it’s one last shindig at Shakedown Bar before I split town to open up for my friend’s band, My Brother’s Keeper, from 8:00pm until 10:00pm.
